At least six inmates have died after a fight between rival gangs in Mexico, including the former gang leader accused of the disappearance of 42 students and professors in 2014.
Members of the Jaliso New Generation and Los Rojos cartels have clashed for the second time, when one prisoner drowned and two others were injured inside the Xochitepec prison in the city of Morelos.
As a result of the fight, two others ended up injured, who were sent by helicopter to the nearest hospital.
The Mexican media have also published images of guards lying down, who were first forced by the prisoners to kneel and then brutally beaten with sticks.
