Under the procedural supervision of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a convict was served a notice of suspicion of preparing to commit the intentional murder of another convict (Part 1 Article 14, Part 1 Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It is suspected that the previously repeatedly convicted convict, who is currently serving a sentence in one of the penal colonies of the region for a mercenary crime, was preparing to kill another convict in order to strengthen his criminal authority among the prisoners of the penal institution.
The murder was prevented, and the convict was exposed after he received the instrument of the crime (a sharpened metal electrode), which was made by another convict on his instructions.
During an authorised search, the offender hid the object in question and was preparing to inflict a fatal blow on the convict.
The sanction of the article for preparation for a crime provides for imprisonment for up to seven and a half years.
