Prison Oopulation in Ukraine (November 06, 2024)

As of 06.11.2024, 38992 people were held in penitentiary institutions in Ukraine.

• There are 15549 prisoners in pre-trial detention centers and penitentiaries.
• In correctional colonies – 22550 prisoners.
• In educational colonies – 50 prisoners.
• In correctional centers – 843 prisoners.

The number of prisoners has decreased slightly again, which is positive. However, again, we need to take into account the total population of Ukraine.
